To reach the lighthouse, you will need to ascend up 500-feet in elevation along a 5.4-mile-long trail. It is worth the trek not only to climb up on the lighthouse but also to admire the jaw-dropping views of the canyon below. One of the best times to go is around sunset when the orange haze of the sky illuminates the valley. Keep in mind this is also the busiest time to hike, and you will often see tourists snapping pictures or setting up a late afternoon picnic. However, it is easy to see why this is such a popular trail the unique rock formation and stunning vista views are simply unbeatable.
