North Mountain Trail Details

Located in the Hueco Tanks State Park & Historic Site area, this trail explores thousand-year-old rock formations and mountainous cliffs of the desert basin landscape that is native to western Texas. The trail starts at the parks interpretive center, which is located inside a historic Escontrias ranch house from the late 1800s. From there, it is a .9 mile trek around the sides of the picturesque North Mountain.
