West Peak Details

Sandwiched between the Lost Maples State Park and the Garner State Park is the peaceful Hill Country State Natural Area. This trail is one of the best places to see the stunning natural landscapes this region is known for, with sweeping Texas vistas that extend for miles towards the horizon. Because this trail is up a mountain summit, you can expect the terrain to be a little steep and rough. However, there are several benches along the way in case you need to rest your feet or stop for a sip of water. The entire loop is just shy of 3-miles, which makes it the perfect half-day hike for anyone looking to escape into nature.
