Traveling from Lions Park to Getzendaner Park, this easy 6 mile trail is a great option for cyclists who want to the different sites around Waxahachie. It runs parallel to the Waxahachie River, which means you’ll get to enjoy picturesque water views for the majority of your ride. It also makes a few stops at some interesting sights, including the Waxahachie Rodeo, the Old City Cemetery, and the defunct Missouri Kansas Texas railroad. While a small portion of the trail is paved, the majority of it is off-the-beaten-path, which adds a level of excitement to the relatively short ride. Be prepared for an elevation incline (which you can also walk instead of peddling).
