Ask any cyclist, and they will tell you that this 14.5-mile loop is the most popular bike path in all of Austin. It leaves from Longhorn Shores Park at S. Pleasant Valley Rd. and boasts astonishing views of scenic parks and urban city landscapes. There are multiple spots along the route where you can stop for a break or even for a quick dip in the water. Enjoy riverfront access at Waller Beach, or enjoy the refreshing springs at Zilker Metropolitan Park. Continue your journey under the mysterious Congress Avenue Bridge, where you will come face to face with thousands of bats that flock out towards the sky at sunset. The entire path is well-paved and meticulously maintained, which makes it an excellent option for cyclists of all skill levels. The trail is very popular and therefore can be pretty busy, although there is still plenty of space for you to ride.
