This is one of the few lakes in Acadia where you're allowed to swim. And with water temperatures of 65-70 degrees in the summer, it's a much more pleasant option than Maine's chilly ocean waters. You'll find changing rooms and restrooms here. Lifeguards are staffed throughout the summer season. The parking lot will fill up in the summer months, so be sure to get an early start on a hot day.
