How to Use This Guide Details

The guide is organized based on the activities and destinations. Click on an activity icon (i..e walking), and it will display a list of the major regions in the state, and then one level more, all the activities within that region. You can search by pressing the search icon (i.e. magnifying glass) on the home screen - this will search any titles and descriptive text within the guide. The primary map on the home screen displays all destinations within the guide. It can be a little overwhelming, so if you only want to display a particular category (i.e. hiking), select the activity category, and then press the map icon located in the top right corner. This will only display the location of the hiking activities on the map. You can do this for each category. When you visit a park, you can press the orange "plus" button and it will record your visit and give you a "Verified" badge if you're within 100 meters of the location of the icon on the map. If you're not at the destination, but want to record a previous visit, go ahead and press the orange plus button and you'll be able to input a specific date you visited. Note, when you record a visit, the icon on the map changes to an arrowhead. You can also disable the "clustering" of map icons within Settings if you prefer to see all the icons. You'll want to download an offline version of the map because cell connectivity can be very poor. To do this, go into any map view and press the "down arrow" icon in the top right corner.
