Egg Rock Light Details
Located in the mouth of Frenchman Bay on a thin strip of rock ledge, the 40-foot white tower was built in 1875. The light Station consists of two buildings. One is a combination keeper's house and light tower and the other is a fog station. The light is managed by the Coast Guard and is not open to the public. The island and buildings are owned by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. It is visible from the Park Loop Road.
