Woodward Cove is an important ecological location in the Brunswick area. As a large active salt-hay saltmarsh location, the 24 acres of the preserve supports an abundance of flora and fauna. Birds in particular use this stretch as an important breeding and nesting ground. In total, 22 different species on the concerned species list utilize the muddy and grassy wetlands here. Approximately a mile of trails run through the property that is, interestingly, also a prime location for worming and clamming.
