Two and a half-miles of paths wind through the mixed forests, wetlands, and marshy areas of the land while highlighting points such as the beach at Leighton's Cove and the ledges of Brown Head. Visitors will find the trail moderate with some steep slopes along the 3,600 feet of shoreline. While possibly muddy, the wetness helps to support the unique cranberries, sundews, and mountain sandwort that grow here, as well as the multitude of wildlife.
