Zak Preserve Details
The largest of the Boothbay conservation areas, the 208 acres of the Zak Preserve are a popular visiting ground for both people and wildlife. Consisting of the Wildcat Creek watershed, a multi-river corridor, the land is mostly wetland with open marshes and wetlands dominating the majority of the area. Being so, the 2 miles of path are predominantly moderate in difficulty but flat, making this a popular spot for snowshoeing and cross country skiing in the wintertime, and a popular bird-watching place all year round.
