Porter Preserve Details
A highly sought piece of land on the southern end of Barter's Island, the Porter Preserve was originally a homestead. With multiple factions looking to divide the property over the years, the families eventually donated the area to become the preserve it is today. The 19 acres are mostly now wooded with beautiful views and river frontage, and even a small sheltered beach and cove with an offshore island. The miles of trails are easy and kept up regularly for visitors to enjoy low impact activities on the island. Facilities: Parking
