The Cataracts Details
If Maine's many different waterfalls weren't already impressive enough, then a hike along one of the multiple cascading rivers will convince anyone they couldn't get any better. The Cataracts are a series of three waterfall features sprouting from Frye Brook. A series of plunges ranging up to almost 90 feet tall are open to view, explore, and provide for swimming opportunities. Known as cascades and horsetails, the series is worth exploring as they are only a short and easy hike away from the main parking area.
