Accessible by foot, the 43,000 acres of land are popular for hiking, camping, hunting, and ATV and snowmobile recreation. Though Pollywog Gorge can be seen from a precarious outlook on the Appalachian Trail, the actual trailhead is located further along the way near Nesuntabunt Mountain.
