A 6.5-mile moderate out-and-back hike. Wild blueberries and wildlife abound on the trails of White Cap Mountain. Found near Greenville, the route is popular and well marked. With a few steeper areas, the trail is mainly named as moderate due to the longer length. Though there are fewer lookouts and the trail is mostly covered by forest, the views are worth it as this is the highest peak in the Moosehead Lake region. A bright and sunny day will even allow visitors a peek at Mount Katahdin.
