A 11.4-mile moderate out-and-back hike. As one of the high peaks of Rangeley, Maine, Saddleback Mountain is a popular hiking destination. At a towering 4,041 feet, the trail takes hikers from the summit of Saddleback and onto what is known as The Horn. The trail is quite steep, but once the top is reached it's a relatively open hike along the ridge that offers panoramic views from all angles. The summit can also be accessed from the base of the ski resort via a moderate 1.8-mile hike (one way).
