Pleasant Mountain Details
A 10.2-mile network of moderate hikes. With the title of southern Maine's tallest peak, Pleasant Mountain towers over the Sebago Lake Region at over 2,000 feet. There are multiple trails here, all quite popular, with well-worn paths leading to windswept views. The White Mountains provide a backdrop for what used to be a grand hotel here from 1873 to 1907, previously having the name of House Peak. Today, only a fire tower remains. On a clear day, Mount Washington is also visible in the distance.
