Previously a large rolling field of blueberry barrens, The Kennebunk Wildlife Management Area is now a protected stretch managed for wildlife conservation and community recreation. Originating from the efforts of the Kennebunk Land Trust and The Nature Conservancy, the flora and fauna are unique. The endangered Northern Blazing Star Flower grows here more than anywhere else, and the Black Racer Snake and the largest flock of Grasshopper Sparrows both call this landscape home.
