Shrine Trail Details

Named after the last active Shaker community, the Shrine Trail is now a short and easy half-hour walk through trees, fields, a cemetery, and a shrine. All mementos of what once was here, the history is as unique as the scenery is beautiful. Interestingly, a walk along the trail will also bring guests past a conspicuous granite knob. Seemingly appearing out of the blue, this was once a popular ski area for the Shakers. Though no longer an active ski spot, the large rocky outcropping is still a sight to behold.
