Lead Mountain Details
A 5.4-mile moderate out-and-back hike. Lead Mountain is located in Hancock County, Maine, and is a popular spot for family hiking. The peak is 1,479 feet and marked by a cellphone tower, though the actual metal viewing platform is a little way around the bend, offering views from above the treeline. If the hike doesn't wear out visitors too much, a stop at Beddington Lake will. The 400 plus acre waterway is popular for fishing, boating, and a good long swim after hanging out on the mountain top.
