A 38.6-mile moderate loop trail located in Grafton Notch State Park. Right in the middle of Maine's mountainous region lies Grafton Notch, a well-known pass in the Mahoosuc range with a multitude of trail systems, including the Grafton Loop Trail. As a lengthy loop trail, the route takes hikers along the peaks of the Mahoosuc Range overlooking Bear River Valley and the pass, and along a portion of the Appalachian Trail. Whether you are hiking the "AT" or simply visiting, this route isn't meant for inexperienced hikers. Appropriate gear, time, and preparation are necessary to make one's way safely through this remote area.
