Douglas Mountain Details

A 2.5-mile network of moderate hikes. Douglas Mountain may be a little steep but offers multiple maintained paved trails for hikers of all levels. Donated by the Maine Chapter of the Nature Conservancy, the summit offers views of the surrounding lake region, including the well known Sebago Lake, from a stone fire tower. Created by glaciers, the focal point, Sebago Lake, sits in a granite basin and is a popular summer sporting spot. Sebago Lake State Park was also one of the original five state parks and offers an interesting history of Maine's park systems.
