A 4-mile moderate out-and-back hike to the summit of Deboullie Mountain in the Deboullie Public Lands. Deboullie Pond is a small waterway sitting as a centerpiece in this region of the wild Allagash Wilderness. Visitors often venture here for fishing and camping in the picturesque trout ponds, but those wishing for better views can elect to try out one of the hiking trails. The top offers views of the pond-speckled forest and low rolling mountains. Along the way, hikers are treated to rock slides, the mountains namesake, and unique ice caves where the temperature never rises enough to melt the chilling boulders.
