Crocker Mountain Details

A 16-mile strenuous out-and-back hike to the fourth tallest summit in Maine, Crocker Mountain is popular among peak baggers and Appalachian Trail travelers. Crocker Mountain has two peaks with a loop trail connecting them to make up what is known as the Crocker Cirque Loop. This loop is not for the inexperienced hiker and is best done as an overnight venture. Those looking to undertake the challenge are rewarded with forested mountain views and a feeling of being lost in the woods.
