Cadillac Mountain Details
A 7.1-mile moderate out-and-back hike along the South Ridge Trail, this is the most popular mountain in Maine because it is located in Acadia National Park and the summit by accessed by car. But don't let that discourage you, the trail offers remarkable views of the surrounding islands and the ocean as you traverse the southern ridge of Caddilac Mountain. Formed by glacial movement, the summit is the highest peak along the Atlantic coastline and is the first point in the United States that will see the sunrise between the months of October and March.
