A 7.5-mile strenuous out-and-back hike along the infamous 100 Mile Wilderness, a section of the Appalachian Trail known to be rugged and wild. Though hikers here will encounter several other visitors at all times of the year, it is not for the lighthearted. The trail rises to an elevation of 2,670 feet. Along the way, hikers will pass a variety of landscapes, including Barren Slide and Ledges, known for the views they provide before the final destination atop the partially bald mountain.
