Huston Landing Details
Not far from the downtown of Damariscotta lies Huston Landing. A small 10-acre parcel with 500 feet of river frontage, the nondescript piece of property is unique in its historical significance. Donated in 2006 by a local antique dealer, the parcel is actually where his mother’s family landed and settled back in 1740. Interestingly, the “tombolo,” as the geological small mound island peninsula here is also called, is a spawning location for horseshoe crabs. Facilities: Parking
