Located on the Kennebec River's Arrowsic Island in Maine, the Squirrel Point Light navigational aid was established in 1895. The US Coast Guard owns the property, and the Citizens for Squirrel Point have been granted a license to provide access to the facility for the public. The goal of this project is to restore and maintain the facility in a manner consistent with its historic and aesthetic value.
