Skolfield Shores Preserve Details

Skolfield Shores Preserve sits on over 4,000 feet of coast along the Middle Bay Cove. A popular area, the preserve here is a wet terrain consisting of mudflats and salt marsh created by the tides ebb and flow. An easy and flat walking area, the paths are a little over a mile and have been used for centuries as an easy spot to traverse the rocky shores. Shipbuilding was once a popular pastime here as well, though shellfish harvesting is the main attraction today.
