The Mast Landing Audubon Society totals 140 acres of protected wildlife habitat only a mile from the downtown of the town of Freeport. Adjacent to the Harraseeket River Estuary, the trail network totals a little over 3 miles of paths running through wetlands, mature forests, fields, alder lowland, and even an apple orchard. The Mill Stream Trai in particular is popular with birders and wildlife lovers as it runs through the watery areas to provide for overviews of the maple swamp. Facilities: Picnic Area, Parking
