Starting in the woods near Kennebunk and running almost thirty miles to the lighthouse of South Portland, the Eastern Trail is a popular walking path for those wishing to view historical Maine. Partially running along what was once a Pan Am railroad track, the route traverses woods, blueberry barrens, and streams. Wildlife and birdwatching are extremely popular here, especially in the peculiar Scarborough Marsh area within over 3,000 acres of saltwater wetlands. Facilities: Hand-carry Boat Launch, Parking
