Mackworth Island is a smaller, approximately 100-acre, island located in Falmouth, Maine. While most of the island is open, there is a private school for the deaf located here with an interesting, but frightening, history of scandal. On a happier note though is the island's most unique and notable feature, the traditional building of fairy houses. Made from any and all natural surroundings, adults and children alike are encouraged to take to the woods sculpt tiny cottages for magical visitors. Facilities: Restrooms, Parking
