Hiking, picnicking, camping, boating, and birdwatching activities are available in abundance on the 888 acres of Cobscook Bay State Park. Open to the public year-round and surrounded on three sides by Cobscook Bay, the park has a range of weather variations to experience and an abundance of wildlife to view. Otters, bears, invertebrates, and some 200 species of birds call this land home, but the most impressive feature maybe the park's namesake, meaning "boiling tides" which are known to rise and fall an incredible 24-28 feet.
