Little Cranberry Island View Details
Baker Island, Little Cranberry Island and Great Cranberry Island are among the outer islands of Acadia National Park. From this spot, you can see the coastline back toward Otter Point and the outer islands as you look out to sea. Baker Island is the furthest to the east, with Little Cranberry Island just to the west. Further in the distance, you can see Great Cranberry. Bunker's Ledge -- marked by a white pyramid -- is in the foreground. These specks of land seem isolated, but thriving communities were established on these islands in the days when most transportation was by sea. They are still inhabited today, despite being part of the Park, and tourist attractions include the Islesford Historical Museum on Little Cranberry Island and the circa 1828 lighthouse on Baker Island.
