Other Thermal Spots Details

The Upper Geyser Basin has numerous boardwalk and hiking trails -- and even an off-road bike trail -- that not only circle the Old Faithful Geyser but also lead to other spouters, pools, and hot pots, and fumaroles. The Geyser Hill Loop, closest to the Old Faithful Geyser Loop and the visitor center, takes you to Anemone, Plume, and Beehive geysers, beautiful Doublet Pool, and Giantess Geyser, whose eruptions are infrequent but powerful. For something moderately more strenuous, follow the trail to Observation Point, where you can view Old Faithful and other nearby geysers from 160 feet up. This loop trail also leads to Solitary Geyser. Morning Glory Pool resembles the flower of the same name -- blue in the middle, yellow at the edges.
