South Entrance Details
The South Entrance Road, closest to Jackson, Wyoming, runs for 22 miles to West Thumb and Grant Village in the heart of the park. The road roughly parallels the Lewis River, which is sometimes obscured by its plunge into the Lewis River Canyon. However, turnoffs lead to some excellent canyon views as well as sights like Moose Falls and Lewis Falls.
