Trout Lake Details

As you might imagine, Trout Lake is a fisherman's paradise. Rainbow trout more than two feet long are commonly pulled from these waters, which also are rich in cutthroat trout. You can keep any rainbow trout you catch, but the cutthroats must be released. The half-mile Trout Lake Trail leads to the lake, and a walk around provides nice views of Mt. Hornaday. You'll also cross a wooden bridge near the lake's inlet where trout sometimes spawn. You also may see river otters swimming around the lake.
