Mohave Point Details

From Mohave Point looking west it's hard to miss the 3,000-foot cliffs looming over a half-mile visible stretch of the Colorado River. This is the aptly named Abyss, where Monument Creek meets the Colorado amid some of the most vicious rapids on the river. Looking straight out from the point you'll see The Alligator, a red-sandstone mesa. Eastward, look for Bright Angel Canyon, carved by Ninetyone Mile Creek, Trinity Creek, and Ninetyfour Mile Creek.
