This broad, sandy beach was once home to the famous Three Sisters lighthouses and today is overlooked by Nauset Light, which once stood on the glacial cliffs behind the beach but was moved 300 yards back from the shore due to erosion. The beach is visited not only by swimmers and sunbathers but also by threatened piping plovers, which nest on the outer beach from early spring to early summer. The bathhouse and restrooms are open seasonally.
