Point Sublime Details

A rough 17-mile road -- suitable only for mountain bikes or rugged four-wheel-drive vehicles -- leads to Point Sublime, a unique viewpoint where you'll feel like you're standing on an island in the middle of the Grand Canyon. Along the road you can stop at another overlook with a view of the Dragon rock formation. The drive to Point Sublime takes at least five hours, so plan to leave early if you go. There are a limited number of campsites at this remote point, but you'll need a backcountry permit if you want to stay overnight.
