Coconino Overlook Details
If you want just a taste of the experience of hiking into the Grand Canyon, you can follow the North Kaibab Trail three-quarters of a mile to the Coconino Overlook. The overlook is about 500 feet below the North Rim and offers nice views of Roaring Springs Canyon as well as the namesake coconino sandstone layers in the canyon walls.
