Fees and Reservations

Fees are required to visit Banff National Park, and a varied fee structure is in place (all prices are in Canadian dollars). Daily entry ranges from $4.90 for a youth entry (6-16 years old), to $8.30 for a senior (65 and older) and $9.80 for an adult (17-64 years old); a family/group entry fee can be purchased for $19.60. Or, if you're traveling to more of Canada's national parks, opt for the Annual Discovery Pass - and if you purchase the Discovery pass in 2016, it's valid for two years instead of one in celebration of Parks Canada's 150th anniversary. Discovery Passes range in fees from $33.30 for a youth entry (6-16 years old), to $57.90 for a senior (65 and older) and $67.70 for an adult (17-64 years old); a family/group entry fee can be purchased for $136.40. Camping is popular within Banff National Park, and there are plenty of camp sites from which to choose during your visit; it's recommended that you make reservations for a campsite prior to arrival. Camping fees vary by campsite and are in addition to park entry fees as outlined above.
