Dacre Monastery Details
Thought to have existed here during Anglo-Saxon times, the only remains today of the Dacre Monastery are stone cross fragments, massive reused building blocks and some finds from an excavation in the 1980s. The Church of St. Andrew was built in the village of Dacre on the same site; look here for the cross fragments inside the 12th-century parish church.
