River Loop Trail Details
The River Loop Trail is a charming walk through a mossy, sun-dappled forest. The wide, hard-packed path leads to a small rocky ledge overlooking the clear waters of the Skagit River. The trail follows the river bank for a distance before turning back into the forest and returning to the trailhead. There is access to the "A" and "B" loops of Newhalem Creek Campground, and the "To Know A Tree" Nature Trail near the campground amphitheater. The trailhead is at the North Cascades Visitor Center in Newhalem.
