Activities
Many of the ranger-led programs at Black Canyon of the Gunnison are kid-friendly, notably the Junior Ranger program. Kids cab pick up a Junior Ranger Activity Booklet at the South Rim Visitor Center; once the activities are completed, return the booklet to the Visitor Center for a stamp, certificate, and Junior Ranger badge. Kids in third and fourth grade can take part in the Advanced Junior Ranger Summer Camp, a weeklong experience offered at various times throughout the summer; contact the Black Canyon of the Gunnison Education Staff at 970-641-2337, x203, for more information.
