Locator Lake Trail Details
Situated on the western side of the Kabetogama Peninsula, this strenuous two-mile (one way) trail is accessible by boat only. Once at the trailhead (located at the back of a remote bay across from the Chief Wooden Frog Islands), you will find a rolling path through forest and wetlands that ends at Locator Lake, which is part of group of small inland lakes called The Chain of Lakes. You'll climb through forests and over rocky outcroppings, descend into bogs and wetlands, and experience the full diversity of the Kabetogama environment. The trail gains around 177 feet in elevation and takes two hours round-trip.
