Great Basin Visitor Center Details

The Great Basin Visitor Center is the perfect place to gather information about the park and the sites to see while you are visiting there. The visitor center is located just north of the town of Baker on Highway 487 and it is place to be for guidance and trip planning before you enter the park. The center is open from 8 a.m. - 5p.m. during the summer months and there are some interactive exhibits, a film about the park and a bookstore inside. Highway 487's close proximity to the park makes this a great place to start your journey on the Wheeler Peak Scenic Drive.
