Wheeler Peak Scenic Drive takes you to the Upper Lehman Creek Campground, it is a 12-mile road, however the upper section of the road is usually only open from June - October. The road is steep and winding but offers a great view of the park from its desert valley all the way to its mountain peaks. Baker Creek Road is a well maintained gravel road that is open usually from May - November. There are a couple roads that are open year-round, but require high clearance because of frequent mud and snowy conditions in the spring and winter months. These roads are Strawberry Road, Snake Road, Lexington Arch. The unimproved road to Lexington Arch is a bit difficult to navigate and requires a high-clearance vehicle with four-wheel-drive. Remember to follow all speed limits and wear seat belts at all times.
