Slana Ranger Station Details
The Slana Ranger Station is your first park resource if entering from the north and offers several visitor services. This station is located at the northern end of Nabesna Road, about two hours from the Wrangell-St. Elias Visitor Center Complex. This station offers visitors exhibits, park film, bookstore, ranger programs, restrooms, road updates, park and area information, backcountry trip planning, and Off Road Vehicle permits. The ranger station's operating hours are as follows: Summer (early April - September 30): Open Daily 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., though hours may change last minute due to limited staffing, weather, or park emergencies. Winter (October through March): Closed.
