In addition to swimming areas that feature easy entry, shallow slopes and calm waters, kids can try out snorkeling, exploring coral reefs and real life shipwrecks! Kids will also enjoy exploring Fort Jefferson, walking on the six-foot seawall that surrounds the fort and spotting wildlife such as sea turtles and fish. Picnicking at the campground will complete their ultimate ocean wilderness experience. Please keep in mind that there is limited shade on the island - bring plenty of sunblock to protect your children's skin as well as sun protective clothing.
